The Ashubhankarnashini Navrata Utsav starts from first day of Ashwin month of Hindu calendar and ends with the celebrations of festival of Vijaydashmi (Dussehra).

In MaatruVaatsalyaVindaanam, Sadguru Shree Aniruddha guided us about the Paaraayan Paddhati in Navaraatri. Shraddhavaan should start the reading (Paaraayan) on Shukla Pratipadaa Tithi of Chaitra or Aashwin maas (month) and complete it by the midnight of Shukla Navami Tithi.

(There may be 8 or 10 days etc in the period of Pratipadaa to Navami, but Paaraayan point of view, It’s important to start the reading on Pratipadaa and complete it by 12 in the night of Navami. Udyaapan should be done on Dashami.)

Then Sadguru Shree Aniruddha says- Shraddhavaan can freely decide the number of chapters to be read each day, as everyone has different lifestyle. But one should not read it in hurry i. e. without understanding the meaning, without Bhaav.

Udyaapan- About Udyaapan procedure, Bapu says- On Dashami Tithi, Shraddhavaan should chant AadiMaata Shubhankaraa Stavanam (9 times), AadiMaata AshubhaNaashini Stavanam (9 times) & Avadhootachintan ShreeGurudevaDutta (9 times).

Then touch your forehead to the MaatruVaatsalyaVindaanam Granth, offer 9 Lotaangans or offer greetings (Pranaam) as per your rituals. Finally, recite the mantra of your Sadguru for 9 times and pray to confer his benediction on you.

This is the Udyaapan procedure of this Granth’s Paaraayan.

At the time of Udyaapan, Shraddhaavaan may sing Aarati and Gajar of his choice.

This is the ‘NavaRaatriSamhita’.

Shraddhaavaan may do the Paaraayan during the NavaRaatri of Chaitra and Aashwin according to this NavaRaatri-Samhita. During the year, Shraddhaavaan may do the Paaraayan starting it on any Tuesday, completing it on the Wednesday of the following week. On Thursday (Thursday of the following week i. e. the tenth day of Paaraayan) Shraddhaavaan should do the Udyaapan as mentioned in Udyaapan Procedure.

 

 

During His Marathi discourse on Thursday 7th October 2010 at Shri Harigurugram Param Poojya Sadguru Aniruddha Bapu had described the importance of this Navratri and also explained everyone the upasanas (worship) that should be performed in this period. Bapu said that during this period maximum sacrosanct and extremely holy waves and vibrations would be transmitted throughout this universe. Hence taking this fact under consideration Bapu described the few points as under.

Bapu initially stressed on the presence of word 'Ratri' in the word Navratri and hence further stressed on the importance attached to all the nights that fall in this period. Bapu urged everyone to do Jagran i.e. staying up till late night atleast once during the period of nine nights. But while we do jagran we should do recitations of Ashubhanashini Stavanam, Shubhankara Stavanam, Ram Raksha, Shree Gurukshetram Mantra, etc without counting the number of recitations and / or perform reading of Matruvatsalya Vindanam, Matruvatsalya Upanishad or Ram Rasayan
